Effective Date: September 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the products, services, websites, consultation offerings, delivery and assembly services, repair and refinishing services, and any related communications provided by Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. (“Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting, purchasing, booking, accessing, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services or place any order with Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. in relation to our furniture-related business, including custom furniture design, residential furniture sales, office and commercial furnishing, delivery and assembly, space planning consultations, furniture repair, and refinishing services.

You represent that you are of the age of majority in your province or territory of residence and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. If you are using our services on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. may provide one or more of the following services:

  • Custom furniture design: consultation, concept development, material selection, dimensional planning, and related design services.
  • Residential furniture sales: sale of new and selected furniture items for home use.
  • Office and commercial furnishing: furniture solutions and related furnishing support for workplaces and commercial environments.
  • Delivery and assembly: delivery of purchased items and assembly services, where available and scheduled.
  • Space planning consultations: recommendations regarding layout, furniture placement, and space utilization.
  • Furniture repair and refinishing: repair, touch-up, refinishing, and restoration services for eligible items.

We may decline or limit any order, consultation, or service request in our discretion, including where a request is unsafe, impractical, inconsistent with applicable law, or beyond our service capabilities.

Product descriptions, sample materials, finish swatches, renderings, images, measurements, and estimates are provided for informational purposes only and may vary from final delivered or completed items. Minor variations in colour, grain, finish, texture, dimensions, and appearance are inherent to furniture manufacturing and restoration and do not constitute a defect.

3. User Obligations and Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • provide accurate, current, and complete information when placing orders, requesting quotes, or booking services;
  • review all design, measurement, order, and service details carefully before approval;
  • ensure that measurements, access points, site conditions, doorways, stairways, elevators, and installation areas are accurate and suitable for delivery, assembly, or placement;
  • obtain any necessary permissions, condo approvals, landlord approvals, building access, or workplace authorizations required for delivery, installation, or commercial furnishing;
  • prepare the service location so that work can be performed safely, including clearing pathways and protecting valuable or fragile items as appropriate;
  • inform us of any hazards, restrictions, or special requirements at the service location;
  • use products and completed work in accordance with manufacturer guidance, care instructions, and any instructions provided by Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd.;
  • inspect items and services promptly upon delivery or completion and notify us of any issues within a reasonable time;
  • not misuse, copy, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit our designs, plans, or proprietary materials without our written consent; and
  • comply with all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws, regulations, and bylaws.

You are responsible for any damage, delay, or additional costs arising from inaccurate information, inaccessible premises, unsafe conditions, or failure to prepare the service site.

4. Payment Terms and Conditions

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes, fees, delivery charges, assembly charges, consultation fees, restocking charges, disposal charges, and other service-related amounts may be added where applicable.

Payment terms may vary depending on the product or service. We may require:

  • full payment in advance for certain products or services;
  • a non-refundable or partially refundable deposit for custom orders, special orders, or commercial projects;
  • progress payments or milestone-based payments for larger projects;
  • payment upon delivery, completion, or prior to release of goods, where applicable.

Orders, custom work, and bookings may not begin until the required deposit or payment is received and cleared. Late payments may result in suspension of services, delayed delivery, storage charges, administrative fees, or cancellation of the order to the extent permitted by law.

If a payment is declined, reversed, charged back, or otherwise disputed without valid basis, you agree to reimburse Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. for all associated fees, costs, and reasonable collection expenses incurred to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, withdraw promotional pricing, and refuse or cancel orders that appear to be fraudulent, mistaken, or unauthorized.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because our business includes custom, made-to-order, special-order, and labor-intensive services, cancellation and refund rights may be limited.

  • Custom furniture design and special orders: once design work has begun, materials have been sourced, or production has started, deposits may be non-refundable, and additional charges for completed work or committed costs may apply.
  • Residential and commercial furniture sales: returns or exchanges may be accepted only in accordance with the conditions stated at the time of sale, applicable warranty terms, and any consumer protection requirements under applicable law.
  • Delivery and assembly services: service fees are non-refundable once delivery or assembly has been attempted or completed, except where required by law.
  • Repair and refinishing: once work has started, fees for labor, materials, and custom treatment are generally non-refundable.
  • Consultations: consultation fees are generally non-refundable once the consultation has been provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.

Any approved refund will be issued using the original payment method where reasonably possible, within a reasonable period after approval and any required inspection. Shipping, delivery, return transportation, restocking, storage, and administrative fees may be deducted where permitted by law.

To request a cancellation or refund review, you must contact us promptly with your order details and the reason for the request. Final approval of any cancellation, return, or refund is subject to our review, applicable law, and the condition of the goods or services involved.

6. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, loss of use, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the use of our services, products, or website.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our products or services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for:

  • damage resulting from improper use, neglect, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow care instructions;
  • variations inherent in natural materials such as wood grain, knots, colour variation, and finish differences;
  • damage caused by environmental conditions, including humidity, temperature changes, water exposure, sunlight, pests, or structural movement;
  • issues caused by inaccurate measurements, concealed site conditions, or customer-provided specifications;
  • delays caused by third-party suppliers, carriers, contractors, or service providers;
  • pre-existing defects or damage in customer-owned items submitted for repair or refinishing; and
  • loss or damage resulting from events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or certain statutory consumer rights where applicable.

All intellectual property rights in our brand, trade names, logos, website content, product descriptions, design concepts, drawings, plans, specifications, renderings, photographs, brochures, and other materials created or used by Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, no license or ownership rights are granted to you except the limited right to use our materials for the purpose of evaluating, purchasing, or receiving our services.

For custom design services, unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • we retain ownership of our underlying design methods, templates, processes, and pre-existing materials;
  • you receive no right to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our concepts, drawings, or plans without our written permission;
  • we may retain copies of design files, project documentation, and related records for internal business, compliance, and service purposes.

If you provide us with images, plans, measurements, logos, or other materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use those materials as reasonably necessary to perform the services and maintain business records.

9. Force Majeure

Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. shall not be liable for any delay, failure, or interruption in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fires, floods, storms, extreme weather, earthquakes, pandemics, labour disputes, supply chain disruptions, utility outages, transportation failures, cyber incidents, government actions, war, civil unrest, or other similar events.

If a force majeure event occurs, we may suspend performance, extend timelines, reschedule appointments, substitute materials where reasonably appropriate, or cancel affected services if performance becomes impracticable or impossible.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update or modify these Terms at any time by posting a revised version or otherwise notifying you as required by law. The revised Terms will be effective on the date stated in the updated version unless a different effective date is specified.

Your continued use of our services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to any changes, you must stop using our services.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or relating to them, our services, or any transaction with Maple Craft Furnishings Ltd. shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law rules.
